Robert Burns

“Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it;
But we hae meat, and we can eat,
And sae the Lord be thankit.”

At The Botanist Café Bermuda, we believe food is more than flavor—it’s culture, heritage, and storytelling. This January, we invite you to join us in honoring Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns, with an evening that blends tradition and island elegance.

A Taste of Scotland, Island Style

Burns Night is a cherished Scottish celebration, filled with poetry, music, and hearty fare. While haggis may be the traditional centerpiece, we’ve crafted our own inspired twist:

Chicken Balmoral Sandwiches

This café-style creation pays homage to the classic Balmoral dish—chicken paired with haggis and whisky cream sauce—reimagined as a refined sandwich that’s perfect for sharing over conversation and a dram of whisky. It’s Scotland’s comfort food, served with Bermuda’s charm.
