At The Botanist, we care deeply about creating an experience that nourishes both body and soul. Our mission is simple: to offer fresh, locally inspired food and drinks in an environment that feels like a sanctuary. Every dish and cocktail is crafted with thought and integrity, using quality ingredients sourced from local producers whenever possible. We believe in sustainability, flavor, and hospitality that makes you feel right at home.

Nestled in Bermuda’s beautiful Botanical Gardens, inside the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, The Botanist is more than a café it’s a destination. Whether you’re starting your day with the best coffee in Bermuda, enjoying a leisurely lunch, or sipping rosé in the Rose Garden, we promise an experience that’s as refreshing as the gardens themselves.

The Botanist opened its doors on February 22nd 2024 with a vision: to create a space where friends, families, and visitors could escape the noise of Hamilton and reconnect with nature. Inspired by the beauty of the gardens and the joy of sharing great food and drink, three friends came together to make this dream a reality. Every detail—from the menu to the ambiance—reflects our passion for quality and community.

The Botanist started with idea of being different, therefore we decided to give it a more healthy modern twist, removing the fried aspects of the recipes and changing it to a healthier, fresh and local menu. Most of our menu is designed around freshness, flavor and rooted in what we have called, “garden to plate”, making it healthy and organic. We partner with local producers like the AgraLiving Institute to bring you greens, herbs, and vegetables grown just steps away from our kitchen. Our flatbreads have become a local sensation try the pear, Stilton, and walnut creation with Botanical Gardens arugula and local honey drizzle, perfectly paired with a Bermuda Craft Brewery pint. Or explore our seasonal cocktails infused with herbs grown right here in the gardens.

Creating unique spaces was a focal point at the beginning the café’s cozy interior, the serene Rose Garden, or discover the secret vault downstairs for an unforgettable evening.

We believe your furry friends deserve a little Botanist love too!, as there was a lack of places to enjoy with your dog. We even went a stage further with our now trademarked YAPPY HOUR every month, for a time for puppy parents to bring their friends for a cocktail in the Rose Garden and enjoy some socialization for humans and canines alike.

The Botanist is a hub for creativity and connection. Through our collaboration with Masterworks Museum, we host Sip & Paint events and private gatherings, offering a unique backdrop for celebrations big and small.
